Service
At ESi Val Cenis, group ski lessons for children are designed to help young skiers progress quickly within an environment that is fun, reassuring, and stimulating. Guided by state-certified instructors, children develop their technique while enjoying the experience of skiing alongside peers of a similar skill level.
Thanks to small group sizes and teaching methods tailored to each age group, every child receives personalized attention while also benefiting from the dynamic, friendly atmosphere of a group lesson.
About children’s group ski lessons at Val Cenis
Group lessons last 2.5 hours per session. This format strikes the ideal balance between learning, practice time, and rest. Spread across the week, the schedule allows children to progress at their own pace without becoming unnecessarily tired.
Group sizes are intentionally limited to 6–8 children, depending on skill level, ensuring that each instructor can devote time to every student. This approach fosters steady progress, personalized guidance, and greater confidence on the slopes.
Tailored teaching methods
By choosing group lessons at ESi Val Cenis your child enjoys numerous benefits:
- small, manageable groups for better supervision;
- teaching methods adapted to their age and skill level;
- group motivation and friendly competition;
- learning in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere;
- an excellent balance between personalized guidance and affordable pricing.
Lessons start at 10:00 AM, giving the whole family time to start the day at a relaxed pace before heading to the slopes. Finally, to reward the progress made throughout the week, ESi medals are awarded to children enrolled in at least 5 days of group lessons. It is a wonderful way to acknowledge their efforts and let them take home a memento of their holiday in Val Cenis.

Class meeting points
Please note!
ESi Val Cenis group ski lessons for children depart exclusively from the school’s meeting point: Val Cenis Le Haut. As the Val Cenis resort comprises several villages, please check the location of your accommodation carefully before booking. If you are staying in Termignon or another part of the resort, allow enough time to drive to the lesson meeting point so you can arrive stress-free.
Lift pass + equipment
To make the most of the group ski lessons for children at ESi Val Cenis, each student must be fully equipped before the session begins. Lessons do not include equipment rental or the ski pass. We therefore recommend preparing all necessary gear before you arrive, ensuring your child is ready to join their group under the best possible conditions.
Equipment needed for group ski lessons in Val Cenis
- A ski pass suited to your child’s level;

Which group class should I choose?
Multiple groups for greater progress
Group ski lessons for children are organized into four skill levels to ensure that every young skier receives instruction tailored to their age, technique, and pace of progress. This structure fosters personalized teaching, allowing each child to develop their skills with confidence.
Additionally, at the end of their stay, children receive an ESi medal corresponding to the level they have achieved. When registering, simply indicate the level already attained—regardless of which ski school was attended previously, and our team will handle the level equivalencies.
Which time slot should I choose?
If you would like to enjoy the slopes with your family in the morning, that is certainly possible. Afternoon group lessons are an excellent option for this, as children arrive feeling confident. They also benefit from their instructor’s guidance to round off the day, consolidating what they have learned through a variety of exercises tailored to their skill level.
Another welcome advantage is that the group lessons are often less crowded in the afternoon, providing more pleasant conditions for learning and making progress.

Stoat Group: Children who have earned the Bronze Mouse or International Crystal
Hare Group: Children who have earned the Bronze or Silver Crystal

Autonomy and safety
Independence and safety are top priorities in all classes, starting right from the “Souris” (Mouse) level. So, don’t be surprised to see your little ones handling their own gear—for instance, when boarding a gondola. Similarly, knowing how to get back up on their own is a key safety skill; that is why it is important to address this from the very first levels.
