Simply select the format you want when you make your reservation. To do this, once you’ve selected the class or activity, click “Reserve,” and you’ll be able to access the form to enter information about the participant(s). There, you’ll also find the various durations and options for the workshop, class, or activity.

Our group classes and workshops often span several days. You simply need to select your preferred format when booking. To do this, select the activity and click “Book.” You will then be able to view details regarding the duration and frequency of the sessions via the form, where you will find the various options available for the workshop, class, or activity. Depending on your selection and availability, you can choose the number of days you would like.

ESi Val Cenis offers three adaptive skiing options, designed to meet the specific needs and independence levels of every skier. Whether opting for solo, duo, or piloted adaptive skiing, everyone can find the style that suits them best. Furthermore, the choice of equipment and level of guidance depends on your mobility, as well as your experience and goals on the slopes.

Solo adaptive skiing

Solo adaptive skiing allows people with disabilities to ski independently using specialized equipment. This option is designed for skiers who possess the necessary autonomy and control to pilot the equipment themselves.

ESi Val Cenis offers personalized guidance to help you select the right equipment and progress safely.

Duo adaptive skiing

Duo adaptive skiing allows the skier to move using specialized equipment that offers greater assistance, while still enabling active participation in the activity.
Indeed, equipment such as the Snow’Kart, Tempo Duo, or Dualski—fitted with an assistance or steering bar—enables semi-autonomous movement. Furthermore, this activity is particularly suitable for individuals with balance issues, as well as those requiring technical guidance.

Piloted adaptive skiing

Piloted adaptive skiing is particularly well-suited for individuals with little or no upper-body strength. It is also suitable for people with progressive medical conditions, those with reduced physical resilience, and seniors.

The instructor pilots the specialized equipment, such as a Tandemski, Tandemflex, Tempo Duo, or Dualski with a steering bar, allowing the skier to fully enjoy the sensation of gliding in complete safety.

Guided sit-skiing allows people who cannot ski independently to explore the Val Cenis ski area. It is an ideal option for sharing the experience of skiing with family. It enables you to accompany your loved ones or enjoy the mountains once again, despite a temporary or permanent physical limitation.

A wide range of equipment for everyone

ESi Val Cenis offers a wide range of adapted equipment. Thanks to a partnership with the APPASH association, ESi Val Cenis provides access to the Uniski, Dualski, Tandemski, Tandemflex, Snow’Kart, Tempo Duo, and Ski-Mojo. The equipment is selected based on your level of independence, your disability, and your skiing goals.

No prior experience required

Your level of independence in everyday life will determine the type of activity and equipment that are best suited to you. If you already have experience of standing skiing or Handiski, you can draw on this to make progress more easily. In any case, we’ll be on hand to advise and assist you.

Instructors trained in providing assistance

Sessions are led by instructors trained and sensitized to assisting individuals with reduced mobility. Emmanuelle, the school’s adaptive skiing specialist, has been a specialized instructor for over 25 years. She is also an adaptive skiing trainer for the company Tessier and holds a Master’s degree in Adapted Physical Activity (STAPS in France).

To arrange your adaptive skiing session, simply fill out the dedicated booking form. The ESi Val Cenis team will contact you to discuss your needs, your level of independence, the appropriate equipment, and the details of your guided session.

Group lessons consist of small groups: a maximum of 6 to 8 people per instructor in the beginner children’s level, and a maximum of 6 to 8 people per instructor on the slopes.

Regardless of weather conditions, lessons will take place as long as the ski lifts are open.

Note: In bad weather, please dress yourself and/or your children accordingly.

Yes, our ESi instructors speak other languages: English, Italian, Dutch, depending on availabilities.

Yes, the lift pass is not included with the purchase of ski lessons. Therefore, you need to buy a pass at the resort’s lift ticket offices.

Yes, liability insurance is mandatory to cover on-piste and off-piste rescue services in the event of an accident or illness.

Our insurance partner, La Compagnie du Sport, offers tailored insurance coverage for skiing and all other sports. Prices start at €2.86 per day for a week or €42 for the entire year. Click here to learn more about ski and sports insurance.

Carré Neige (FFS) is available with ski pass for beginner children group lesson with us.
