APPASH: Making the mountains accessible to everyone

APPASH (Physical activity for older people or people with disabilities) works to enable people with reduced mobility to fully enjoy the pleasures of the mountains. Its goal is to make mountain activities accessible to everyone, while also raising awareness among industry professionals and improving the welcome and facilities at the resort.
Thanks to the support of the Cercle Sportif de l’Institution Nationale des Invalides (CSINI) and the Communauté de Communes Haute Maurienne Vanoise (CCHMV), APPASH and ESi Val Cenis provide a wide range of adaptive equipment for various activities, including skiing, hiking, swimming, and everyday mobility.
Goal: Mountains for everyone!
Enjoy memorable experiences
The mountains for everyone
At Val Cenis, making mountain activities accessible is a top priority. In winter, lift crews and resort staff receive specific training and awareness-raising to ensure a welcoming experience for sit-ski users, enabling them to make the most of the ski area.
Easy access
Parking spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility are available near the departure points of accessible ski lifts, making it easier to reach the slopes. The resort also features holiday residences offering accommodation adapted for people with reduced mobility, ensuring a comfortable stay in Haute Maurienne Vanoise.
